Year in Review – 2016

Well, as 2016 draws to a close today, I could reflect on all of the horrible things that have happened this year – but I’d rather not. Heck, I won’t even go into all of the headaches and annoyances I have just from shooting these videos – and believe me, there are more than I can count. I could write a whole blog just on that. But that is a downer and I want to end on a high note.

So as I do every year now, for the past four years, I am posting some of my favorite images from every video I posted this year. I love doing this because it is fun to look back at a whole years’ worth of images and videos and remember all of the things I loved about each.

This can also be a time for you, dear reader, to give me your year-end thoughts. What you like, don’t like, and would like to see here. Which models you love, which you’d love to see more of, which angles and shots you appreciated. I save every suggestion in an ideas folder and I look through all of them before each shoot, using every one that I can, sometimes more than once, if I determine I love it as well.

So don’t be shy, offer some feedback. And feast your eyes on a full years’ worth of updates! Enjoy!

Year in Review – 2015

And so another year comes to a close, so another 50+ videos have come to this site. I hope you all enjoyed watching these videos as much as I enjoyed making them.

As the year ends, it is a time to reflect, and while making videos can be trying at times (VERY trying, you have NO idea), it is worth it when I get such wonderful results. This year saw a lot of new models, as well as plenty of old favorites. And 2016 is sure to include plenty of both old and new – I have already shot so many videos that are already in the queue and I have plenty of suggestions from readers like you to keep making more (as well as my own twisted ideas, of course).

I try to keep it fresh, with at least a few radically new ideas per shoot but I also like to keep making old standbys with new faces – it is always interesting to see a new models take on something.

I am always happy to hear any feedback you have. I read it all, I respond to it all (though sometimes it takes me a little bit to get to it, I do respond) and I save every single story suggestion, even something as simple as “want to see tight leather pants” or something as elaborate as a full script. And then I review those suggestions before every shoot. I might not be able to get to all of them, but I consider them all and do as many as I can. And so long as it is not checked off as done, I will always consider an idea every shoot.

Now for a few things I wonder about. I wonder how many people actually read any of the text for a post versus those who just want to see the sample images.

I wonder how much description I should put in for each video. At first, I was thinking as long and detailed a description as possible would be good so everyone could see clearly what they would be getting in the video, but I have heard several comments from people saying my descriptions are too long. I must admit that shocked me. I have never heard anyone say they liked how long they are. But then, most people say nothing at all. I figured you could take them or leave them, since I include plenty of sample images on the blogs, but I do admit that I have pared down the descriptions a bit since I have gotten that feedback. It is actually easier for me not to make them so long and detailed.

I wonder what people like or don’t like or look for in a scene, even just what individual shots people like. I know I have my favorites. I love a good shot of a perfect ass from behind, pussy lips peeking out. I try to include that wherever I can.

I wonder if there is anything distinctive about what I do that sets me apart from other producers. I think shooting with so many models doing somewhat elaborate storylines is different, at least, from what I can see. It does tend to make shooting expensive.

And now I wonder what 2016 will bring. Now, here is the real reason you go to this post: the samples, gleaned from a full year of releases:

Higher Definition

A commenter wrote in to suggest video formats (I do believe under the Year in Review 2014 post). It led to a very interesting discussion about the various formats that there are, the pros and cons of various settings, and so on. Rather than get too deep into the woods on that, suffice it to say, there is high definition, and then there is even higher definition. For my videos, I usually put them out in .wmv format at the very highest definition settings I can. But apparently there was a way to push things even higher.

Based on that conversation, I tried a ridiculously high definition format to see how it would come out. As it turns out, for the indoor shoots, it really did not look all that much different. But the file size ended up absolutely huge. But it does make a difference noticeably for the outdoor shoots when there is a complicated background and a lot of movement. In fact, I had noted that before which is why for my more recent outdoor videos, I put them out in a higher output .MP4 format. It make the quick movement quicker. Now, perhaps the quick movement parts aren’t what most are interested in seeing clearly, but I still prefer things to look as smooth as possible.

So while there is not much reason to use the higher definition for indoor shoots (where you would not likely even notice a difference), for the outdoors, with complicated backgrounds and bright sunlight, for the fast movement, you can. And so, by special request, for the commenter who brought this to my attention and also gave me some technical tips for tweaking the settings, I redid in much higher definition the video “Hiker Robbed of Her Clothes and Handcuffed” and will now release it. I like how it looks (but then I always have). This is one of my favorite videos – it came out beautifully, the outdoor shots are gorgeous (as is Rocker Doll of course), and the video is long and has lots of interesting shots and angles. So without further ado…

Here are some still frames – not that you can really see a difference in a still, but I wanted to make more anyway to add to this post…

The Year In Review – 2014

Wow, what a year it has been. I can scarcely remember the last Year in Review post I did, it seems a lifetime ago, and yet it is only 12 short months. A lot of videos went up over the past year, including many that have become new favorites.

I also have a ton of new videos to release in 2015 that are also new favorites. I am just bursting at the seams to release them, but alas, I must be patient. There are a lot of new faces to see (or see more of). Two of them were in the videos I released at the end of the year. They were particularly special and so while I was going to wait until January to release their first videos, I could not resist putting them out sooner. I like to end the year with a bang.

I am always looking for inspiration and suggestions. I have an idea folder that is bursting at the seams with great ideas from those of you who have been kind enough to offer them. I use them when I can. Some require a particular location, or at least one different than what I typically have available, so those have to wait until I have the proper space. Others might just need a particular prop or the right combination of models to pull off. It is my intention to try to eventually use all of the ideas I have been given, if at all possible. Some recent ones included a classroom setting – I have a few ideas about how I might pull that off.

Looking back, as I was working on setting up more Model Showcase posts, I figured out that I have shot with over 40 models since I started this site. That was a larger number than I expected. I hope that number will only grow in the year ahead. Everyone I have shot with has brought something unique and special to their shoots. Many I will work with again if at all possible.

There are so many more reflections I could make. Shooting videos, editing them, putting them up here, preparing images and so forth, it is all a ton of work. At times, I wonder, why do I do it? As I have mentioned elsewhere, I am lucky to even come close to breaking even on a shoot. Overall, I likely never will. It is somewhat expensive to shoot with five models, for example… And yet, I keep going. I keep feeling inspired enough to come up with new and interesting ideas to shoot and then finding great models to shoot them with. Even the big five-model shoots I just keep having to do when I can because of so many great ideas that require them.

In closing, I just want to thank everyone here for the support they have given – be it feedback, suggestions, or just buying my videos (and thus allowing me to make more). Happy New Year! May 2015 bring even more joy and cool videos than 2013 and 2014…

And now, the main reason anyone probably wants to even read this post: Some of my favorite images from the year:

Model Showcase: Alexandria Von Strutter

Where to start? I know I have probably said some of this before (in the entries for her various videos) but Alexandria was truly a gem. She was a natural thespian, so she could just dive in with two feet into any role and do a kick ass job. I just had to tell her what I was looking for and then she was off. Timid, she was not. And she was very good at improvising and really throwing herself into a role. You can really believe she is totally crazy watching her go.

I would love to shoot with her again, but don’t know if that would be possible. She lives rather far away now and is quite busy with life, but if it could ever be arranged, I think she is game. But for now, we have the work she has done to enjoy. She was in only seven videos (and in the last she was only in it a bit, stealing clothes) but she makes quite an impression. She was the full package. Lovely, friendly, and very good at acting. Enjoy her work.

And before we get to her videos, just a small general note : yes, I am doing model showcase again. I never really planned on stopping it, but things just got so crazy I never really got back to it. I try not to do it unless it is for a model who has already had all of her videos released, mostly just so I know when I list the videos here it won’t become out of date. Maybe at some point I’ll bend that rule, but for now, I think it is a good one. And with now 40 models that I have worked with, there are plenty to choose from as this is only my fifth model showcase entry.

The Year in Review – 2013

Well, as 2013 rolls to a close today, I thought it would be a good time to look back on the year. While I did do many shoots last year and my studio did officially open last year as well, it was really at the end of the year, mid-December 2012, and so really almost all of my releases (and all of the posts from this blog) were this year, 2013. So I really look upon this year as my first year with this endeavor. And what a year it has been!

I have done many shoots this year, sometimes more than I thought I could do in a month. Rest assured, there is a mountain of content that I am eager to release well into 2014. But I will not rest on that. I already have my first shoot of the new year scheduled and there will be many more to come. Expect to see plenty of familiar faces (and bare asses…) but also there will be lots of new faces (and asses…) to delight both you and me.

Keep those suggestions coming! I have already used plenty of suggestions supplied by you, loyal readers and watchers, and I will be using plenty more as I shoot in the year ahead. I am always happy to find inspiration wherever I can find it. Sometimes all it takes is a short, simple suggestion to open up whole new avenues of ideas for things that I hadn’t considered (sometimes even where I think, damn, why didn’t I think of that already!)

So finally, as I look back on the year 2013, I want to thank everyone who has provided feedback, explicit or implied, and wish everyone a Happy New Year! May 2014 bring us all joy – as well as lots of embarrassed naked females. 🙂

Here are a few of my favorite images from the year:

Model Showcase: Tiffany Ray

Tiffany had no real prior acting experience, no improve experience, or anything like that to go on before she shot with me. She may yet have none. But what she did have was a willingness to just go for it and get into it.

Enthusiasm counts for a lot. What I also appreciated was her punctuality. It may perhaps surprise some to know that many models are not what you would call punctual. Some allowance can be made for those that have a long drive, but even then, one would hope that a person would plan accordingly. Tiffany had a long drive before every shoot and yet she was not only on time, she was a bit early every time. She said she always does that. Little things like that are very appreciated. There is nothing worse than waiting around for stragglers to show up when you have a shoot planned for a particular time. I appreciated Tiffany’s punctuality greatly – enough that it still stands out to me even now.

Tiffany was also quite good even when she was in a rather uncomfortable position, like when she was handcuffed with her hands above her head for the Real Estate Robbery Revenge clip. She had to be in that position for longer than the clip would indicate and she never complained.

So between her punctuality, her stoicism, and her ability to just dive right in, even when she really did not know anything about acting was really appreciated by me. Her clips include some of my favorites, including one of my early favorites, the Real Estate Robbery.

As always, feel free to comment, including whether you’d like to see more of her (or of any of the models in a model showcase).

Interview for the Sheik – Sara

Having warmed up with the first interview, Alexandria comes up with even more probing and embarrassing questions to ask Sara. Sara answers them all, of course, but watch for the sometimes shocked expression on her face after hearing some of the questions.

I must say, having worked with many models now, that all of them have done a decent job of “acting” as it were, for these videos, but some of them have a special gift for it. Alexandria is one of those special ones. She did a wonderful job as the interviewer here, and as you will eventually see, she did a great job with some other scenarios as well. Stay tuned for that.

This brings me to a more general thought when it comes to acting for these videos. Given the nature of my process, it generally isn’t possible for me to do an acting audition with a model before shooting with her. Which is fine, since all of them have done ok in that area. But sometimes, for certain scenarios, you really need a particular set of acting skills, and there’s no way to know in advance what a models skill will be unless (as has been the case for a few) the model has other videos up that I can actually see. Otherwise, I need to shoot with a model once (or sometimes more) before I really get an idea as to what they can do. That in turn allows me to plan to “cast” a given shoot accordingly. So in that sense, every first shoot with a model is an audition of sorts. It makes it much easier to plan where there is a known quantity (not only with acting style, but also with whether the model will be reliable and show up… that could be a whole different post.)

That said, another part of the planning process is feedback. I am genuinely curious to know what you, my audience, think of the videos, what you like and don’t like, and what you would like to see more of. I read every comment (not like it is hard to keep up) and have used the suggestions therein. For example, there was a request for a pat down with leather pants. Well, guess what is coming soon?

So if you would like to see something in particular, see more of a particular model, see more of a particular scenario, or just make general suggestions, please comment. You can comment anonymously, as many do. Now, sit back and enjoy the show.
